BENEE’s Sold Out Auckland Show to Be Livestreamed Globally

Wrapping the first major tour to take place anywhere since March, indie-pop phenomenon and rising global superstar BENEE will livestream the final night of her sold out New Zealand tour to a global audience in a world first.

BENEE is teaming up with Live Nation and Republic Records to deliver an exclusive livestream of her tour finale from Auckland’s Spark Arena on October 17 on beneemusic.com.

This will be the world’s first livestreamed show in front of a sold out arena audience since concerts have returned.

The show will be livestreamed and available to ticket holders on Saturday October 17 at 9.20pm NZDT

A full replay of the show will then be available on Saturday October 17 for fans globally – this will occur at 1:00pm PDT/4:00pm EDT/9:00pm BST/10:00pm CEST

The ‘Supalonely’ singer, who has performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Ellen and Late Night With Seth Meyers has been on a meteoric rise to stardom. With her hit single playlisted the world over, Benee has collected over 2.2 billion streams and a passionate global fan base obsessed by her groove-drenched sound and quirky lyrical take on the world.

BENEE has already performed sold out shows across the UK, Europe, the USA and Australia before the lockdown began and is thrilled by the chance to return to live performance this month. She opened her tour last week with sold-out shows through New Zealand on her way to her hometown double header at Spark Arena.

“Musicians from all over the place are missing the live connection with their supporters right now so I feel incredibly lucky to be able to get back on stage,” she says. “I’m so excited that we’re streaming the Auckland show, it means we can bring my fans from all over into the room with us.”

Since bursting onto the scene, Benee has been quickly recognised as an artist synonymous with dropping irrepressible bops and bona fide pop earworms. Her global breakout hit ‘Supalonely’ is certified Platinum in the USA, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Mexico, Norway, New Zealand and the Netherlands. It held the #1 spot on radio in Germany, #8 in the US and #10 on the Spotify global chart.  Her singles ‘Soaked’ and ‘Glitter’ are Double Platinum in New Zealand and she has a Platinum disc for ‘Glitter’ and a Gold single award for ‘Evil Spider’ and ‘Find An Island’ on both sides of the Tasman.

Please note: As there are zero community cases of Covid-19 in New Zealand, there are no restrictions on mass gatherings nor are there any social distancing requirements or mask protocols.
