Bic Runga Announces Tour Celebrating 20 Years Of ‘Beautiful Collision’

Bic Runga will travel across the country this July celebrating the 20 year anniversary since the release of her eleven-time platinum, best-selling album Beautiful Collision.

Bic will play the record in full at each concert, kicking off in Hastings’ Toitoi Opera House on Saturday July 15, before heading to Tauranga’s Holy Trinity Auditorium on Saturday July 22, Auckland’s Town Hall (as part of Elemental Nights) on Friday July 28 and Wellington’s St James Theatre on Sunday July 30.

Tickets for all shows go on sale 11am Friday May 5.

Bic Runga - LilypadLive Nation members can secure tickets first in a presale starting 12pm Thursday May 4 and running until 10am Friday May 5. For full tour and ticketing information visit livenation.co.nz.

“Beautiful Collision was my favourite album to make, and still means a lot to me after twenty years,” says Bic. “I hope that if these songs hold a special place for anyone, that they will enjoy celebrating the anniversary of this album with me as a complete concert performance.”
Bic will be joined by special guest Georgia Lines at all performances.

Beautiful Collision was released in 2002 and features the hits Get Some Sleep, Something Good and Listening For The Weather. As a result of this release as well as former and subsequent others, Bic has been awarded almost every musical honour in New Zealand, including winning the most Tui Awards by any individual (twenty) as well as the prestigious APRA Silver Scroll song writing award. In January 2006, Bic was made a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit, and in 2016 was the recipient of the Legacy Award at the New Zealand Music Awards as well as inducted in to the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame.
