Brother Sister – Space: New Song Of The Day

Brother Sister share 80s anthem Space and a new video to go with it.

And watch this “space” for a live version recorded at 13th Floor.

Meanwhile here’s the blurb:

Brother SisterTāmaki Makaurau’s electro-pop whiz kids Brother Sister channel their passion for the sound and style of 80’s throwback culture with their latest single, ‘Space‘, an uplifting blend of electro-driven synth pop, wrapped in iridescent wrapping paper and drop-kicked into the party. A band of siblings, Brother Sister are an energetic trio that have shared the womb, and now the stage; featuring Dave Thomson (synth & lead vocals), Taz Thomson (bass and lead vocals) and Ben Thomson (drums).

Space is a synth-driven celebration, giving voice to all the introverts who might be struggling in this noisy, chaotic world, with an official video directed by Dave Thompson. The video pulls inspiration from Daft Punk’s ‘Da Funk’, showing an introverted alien seeking to find his space by dancing down the main street of Auckland wearing headphones, breaking up with his girlfriend, and cruising in a 1980’s Jag, before being picked up by a spaceship and finally returning home.

To celebrate the release of their single, they’ll be performing at Cassette 9 on  Friday November 25th with tickets available from Under The Radar, alongside a videoed live performance of the track filmed at The 13th Floor. ‘Space’ is available on all digital platforms from Wednesday 16th November, 2022.
