Erin Myers – Bad Reception: New Song Of The Day
Erin Myers releases Bad Reception. The up-and-coming Kiwi is just 20 and has one EP already under her belt.
Here’s the blurb with more info:
‘…the vocals are loose, free and overall just sound great.’ – Divide & Conquer
What do you get when you mix a retro 80’s keyboard with a Weezer-esque guitar riff, minor chords and an insanely catchy melody? You get your next earworm and Erin Myers’ new single Bad Reception.
The upcoming release of Bad Reception follows Erin’s release of Loser earlier this year, which kicked off a new era for this emerging talent.
On Bad Reception, Erin writes with startling candour and maturity about finding her way through the minefield of relationships – ‘I’m lonelier around you’ – but manages to convey a great sense of fun and energy through the music.
Erin is a 20-year-old singer/songwriter based in Kirikiriroa, New Zealand. She wrote her first single at the age of 16 that went on to earn her a spot as a finalist in the Lion Foundation Songwriting Competition, 2019. From there, she released her first self-produced EP Slow Motion, headlined her own show at the 2019 Hamilton Fringe Festival and recently opened for NZ artist Danica Bryant on her Ego Death Tour in Hamilton.
“I can’t wait for you to hear this track. It was incredibly fun to create and really sets the tone for the work I’ll be putting out over the coming year”, said Erin.
Bad Reception is the new single from Erin Myers, written by Erin Myers and Ben Malone, produced by Ben Malone.
