Fan Club – Rough: 13th Floor New Song Of The Day

Indie-rock/pop band Fan Club has released their much-anticipated new single, Rough, a heartfelt and intense track that has been a staple of their electrifying live shows.

Here’s the blurb with more:

Fan ClubFollowing the release of Westbound (thanks to NZ on Air)  in February, Rough marks the third and final single from Fan Club’s upcoming debut EP. This powerful track, released today, showcases the band’s evolving sound and emotional depth.

Rough delves into themes of abuse and manipulation in a relationship. The song starts with a haunting piano melody, setting a tone of vulnerability and hurt, before building to a dramatic crescendo with crashing drums, thrashing guitars, and a driving bassline. The raw and emotive vocals capture pain, anger, and determination, making “Rough” a standout track. The single was produced by Andrew Isdale at Big Fan and Tom Broome at his studio, who have both captured the intensity and authenticity of the band’s performance.
