French for Rabbits announce supports for The Dark Arts tour

Wellington’s dreamiest musical team French for Rabbits kick off The Dark Arts tour next week in Auckland on Thursday and Hamilton on Friday.

They will be gracing intimate stages around the country, debuting new songs and performing a sprinkling of fan favourites. Today, they are pleased to announce a brilliant array of support acts who will be joining them on the tour.

In Auckland, support comes from producer/songwriter Missy who is known for her darkly experimental-influenced pop and cinematic production. Last year, she attracted new fans while supporting LA-based pop artist Chelsea Jade.

In Hamilton, they are thrilled to play alongside Emily Edrosa. Recently returned from LA where she has lived since 2016, the former frontwoman of Taite Award-winning power pop band Street Chant is releasing her debut solo record Another Wave is Coming on 20 November.

In the South Island they will be joined by spooky pianist Lucy Hunter (solo) of Opposite Sex in Dunedin, and The Swan Sisters in Christchurch. Back in Wellington, support froms from Grawlixes – another band in the Home Alone music fold, led by French for Rabbits back-up vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Penelope Esplin.

Tickets are limited for each show, so pre-sales are recommended.
