Katchafire, The Black Seeds Summer Tour 2017/18
Katchafire, the Black Seeds, the playlist for your backyard barbeque, live in some of New Zealand’s most idyllic settings this summer.
Dub-reggae icons Katchafire are probably NZ’s most laid-back, good-vibes band, and they’re most likely our hardest working too! 2017 has seen the ‘Fire play over 100 shows, touring the UK, Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand, and they’ve just dropped their latest single ‘Addicted’ this month. Now the Hamilton boys are coming home for the holidays, all fired up for their annual summer road trip.
This summer heralds the 20th anniversary of the Black Seeds, and what better way to celebrate than hitting the road and celebrating with friends, family and fans? Since January 1st 1998, the band have been igniting dance floors and soundtracking roadtrips with their signature antipodean blend of roots, funk, reggae and soul – and this summer is set to be no exception.
Adding some sweet soul music to the equation is Aaradhna, the queen of Pacific Soul. Joins in for shows on Boxing Day Petone Beach , Dec 27 Riwaka , New Years Eve in Coroglen , and northland shows on Jan 2nd and 3rd
