Line-up Confirmed For Neil Finn’s AAF Gig
On two glorious nights in March, Neil Finn, members of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO) and a who’s who of special guests will perform an extraordinary Auckland Arts Festival concert.
Neil Finn: Out of Silence is a large-scale, outdoor concert, which will include the world premiere live performance of tracks from Finn’s new album, Out of Silence, as well as some of some of his greatest hits. They include Crowded House and Split Enz favourites, and tracks from his critically acclaimed solo records.
In the huge celebration of the music of iconic New Zealand musician, Finn will be joined on stage by his sons, Liam and Elroy Finn, a choir comprising Sean James Donnelly (SJD), James Milne (Lawrence Arabia), EJ Barnes (the daughter of Jimmy), Jimmy Metherell, Julia Deans (The Adults, Fur Patrol), Samuel Flynn Scott (The Phoenix Foundation), Sandy Mill, Tama Waipara, Reb Fountain and Harper Finn (son of Tim), as well as 40 members of the APO.
With arrangements by revered New Zealand composer Victoria Kelly (The Hobbit, The Lovely Bones, Black Sheep, Toi Huarewa/The Suspended Way), Neil Finn – Out of Silence is the kind of Festival event that happens once in a generation and remains with people for the rest of their lives.
Tickets are on sale now for Neil Finn – Out of Silence, which takes place on 9 and 10 March at the Music Arena of Auckland Arts Festival’s Festival Playground in Wynyard Quarter.
