1. Grace Cummings – Storm Queen. From Melbourne comes Grace Cummings with a voice that will stop you in your tracks and the songs to back it up. Storm Queen is Grace’s second album.

2. Tall Folk – Wiser. A duo based in Dunedin, Tall Folk are Lara Robertson and Jack Ringhand.
Lara is a Kiwi and Jack is an ex-pat American. Together they make beautiful music.

3. Elvis Costello & The Imposters – A Boy Named If. Elvis and the band sound re-invigorated on this brand new release. And in the grand tradition of Alison and Veronica, there is a song about Penelope.

4. Cat Power – Covers. Who doesn’t like a good cover? And few cover a song like Cat Power.
Here Chan takes on The Stones, The Velvets, Dylan and even herself…but not the usual suspects.

5. The
Dream Syndicate – What Can I Say? No Regrets…. The folks at Fire Records have taken the band’s 1986 album, Out Of The Grey, and blown it up to make it even better! Now you get over three hours of music including a complete live show from ’86 and plenty of cool covers that really improve on the original.
