New Song Of The Day: Jed Parsons – Time

Here’s the third single from Jed Parsons’ upcoming debut album.

The song is called Time and the album, due out July 13th, is called Midnight Feast. Here’s the record company blurb with NZ tour dates:

A ‘falling-out-of-love’ song, ‘Time’ is an indie-pop gem, which Parsons wrote after listening “to a lot of 60s good-cheese music”. What resulted was a bit of an indie-Kiwi nod to some of his idols, including The Beach Boys, The Beatles and Frankie Valli.

Recorded with Lee Prebble at Surgery Studios in Wellington, ‘Time’ follows the singles ‘Get Lost’, which debuted on Apple’s ‘Best of the Week’ playlist and received radio play from Hauraki and the bNets; and ‘Everybody’s Stupid’, which debuted on Hauraki and also received love from student radio. The song’s video ‘Everybody’s Stupid’ premiered on Tone Deaf in Australia.

All three singles establish Parsons as one of New Zealand’s most intriguing new songwriters and also set the scene for the release of his debut album MIDNIGHT FEASTon July 13.

Parsons has had an action-packed summer playing live, including a coveted spot at one of New Zealand’s biggest festivals Auckland City Limits.

He will tour New Zealand to support the release of MIDNIGHT FEAST. See dates below.
