Noise – Moving From NY To NZ: 13th Floor Interview
Noise is a Wellington-based band led by Will Marshall who has recently moved back to New Zealand after an extended stay in the US. With a new band assembled Will and his Noise are set to rock Wellington’s Meow this Friday.
The 13th Floor’s Marty Duda spoke to Will Marshall along with new recruit , rhythm guitarist Karl Weber. Will and Karl fill us in on what to expect at a live Noise show and their plans for their first album.
Here’s details about the show at Meow:
Siren Song invites you to a one-off performance at legendary local venue Meow. After months in level 2, we’re absolutely thrilled that we’re able to host full-scale shows in December.
To celebrate this new-found freedom we’ve put together something extra-special, featuring two emerging art-rock bands, Cold Ceiling and Noise, each playing selections from their upcoming albums, alongside special guest Dani Mogin.
Noise is an experimental art-rock six-piece, founded in NYC and based in Wellington. Fronted by Will Marshall, a songwriter and producer with a swaggering, articulate baritone, Noise work with a palette borrowed from contemporary art-rock, modernist poetry, the weirder edges of electronic music, indie pop and post-punk.
