Review: Offline Post Lockdown Show, Phoenix Entertainment, 19 June 2020

Steaming with Auckland’s hottest drag and burlesque performers, and hosted by the incredible and hilarious Monty Montgomery, The Offline Post Lockdown Show Friday night was cabaret to never forget.

I was lucky to have the pleasure of attending such a spectacular show at K Road’s Phoenix Entertainment. Seven weeks of isolation had built up so much creative energy with our fellow artists that the night was an explosion of passion and energy, you could feel your heart rate accelerate as each performer came out. The atmosphere throbbed with excitement and was a beautiful reconnection of many people in Auckland’s LGBTQ community.

The line-up was absolutely mind blowing with each performer giving the audience a completely different experience. Some leaving you feeling thrilled and cheering and others leaving you feeling completely liberated. I was guaranteed to walk out sweaty, excited and a little turned on.

Artists included world wide drag star Yuri, the mindblowing wacky Djork, the HOT burlesque star that is Kiki Kisses, The brilliant and beautiful Baby Freeakk, the brightly coloured and absolutely magnificent  Monty Montgomery and last but not least a sexy Murder Haus crew which featured Hera ,Ego and Dirty Helen. This combination blew my socks off and left me wanting more…

…and more we shall get. Keep an eye on @mx.montymontgomery Instagram to see what future treats they have to offer.
