Royal New Zealand Ballet: Bold Moves
This winter, the Royal New Zealand Ballet invited choreographers from three continents to share New Zealand stages in Bold Moves – a magnificent mixed bill of daring works at Auckland’s ASB Theatre.
George Balanchine’s classical Serenade: 26 dancers moving through time and space, supremely structured yet somehow free; William Forsythe’s Artifact II: bright colours, Bach spliced with electronica, and a larger than life American athleticism; and a powerful new commission, Stand to Reason by Andrea Schermoly: a bold ode to the tenacity and spirited sisterhood of the brave women who won the vote in New Zealand.
SPECIAL OFFER: As an Auckland Arts Festival subscriber, book tickets for any Auckland performance before midnight on Wednesday 14 August and receive 15% off all tickets using the promo code BOLD.
