sparkle*jets u.k. are still Best Of Friends: Interview
sparkle*jets u.k. are a band from LA who were (and are) part of the LA Pop Scene that grew in the late 90s along with bands like The Wondermints and Candypants.
Their new album, Best Of Friends, is filled with covers of songs originally written and recorded by 21 of those bands back in the day. The 13th Floor’s Marty Duda tracked down two of the sparkle*jets u.k., Michael Simmons and Susan West, who were traveling through France. Here they are to tell us the story of and album that was 20 years in the making.
