The Kentucky Headhunters – That’s A Fact Jack! (Interview)

The Kentucky Headhunters having been rocking hard in one form or another since 1968. The band has just released a new album titled That’s A Fact Jack! and guitarist Richard Young has got 50 years of stories to tell.

The Kentucky HeadhuntersThe 13th Floor’s Marty Duda found Richard Young of The Kentucky Headhunters where else, but in Kentucky. Richard, his brother Fred and the friend Greg Martin have been playing together since 1968 when they were pre-teens.

Now, 53 years later, they are still rockin’ along with “new guy” Doug Phelps, who joined up in 1986. At age 66, Richard has his thumb on the pulse of Southern Rock, his son John Fred Young is drumming for Black Stone Cherry and Richard manages The Georgia Thunderbolts (click here to watch the 13th Floor interview).
