The Red Clay Strays hail from Mobile, Alabama where they soaked in the sweet sounds of Muscle Shoals, Stax and Sun. Now, here they are to tell us about their debut album, Moment Of Truth.

The 13th Floor’s Marty Duda spoke to all five members of The Red Clay Strays who were in their rehearsal space, signing posters. Having jettisoned their record label, they funded the new record themselves, raising over $50,000. As they tell us, “We’re dumb, we’re just not stupid”.
