The event kicks off The Tuning Fork’s inaugural Birthday Series, which celebrates the venue’s 8th birthday with a very special series of live shows. Green MP Chlöe Swarbrick has been announced as emcee for the night, and the ever-hilarious Liv McKenzie and Brynley Stent will open for Parker on Thursday 3 June.

Support acts for the other Birthday Series events have also been announced. Back from Nashville, the impeccable Kelly Sherrod performs as Proteins of Magic ahead of Jakob on Friday 4 June, legendary songsmith Dianne Swann performs songs from her new album The War On Peace Of Mind ahead of The Phoenix Foundation on Saturday 5 June, and Silver Scroll-winning art punk four-piece Lips get the party started for The Beths at their SOLD OUT show on Sunday 6 June.

Giving you plenty of reason to stay in Auckland over Queen’s Birthday weekend, the inaugural Birthday Series sees some of the biggest acts in Aotearoa play intimate sets in this special venue, nestled in the wing of the almighty Spark Arena.

Bringing a particularly special edge to the Series, Wellington favourites The Phoenix Foundation will perform their seminal album Buffalo in its entirety for the very first time at their show on Saturday 5 June. The iconic record celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2020 and this is a rare opportunity to hear it live. Sonic powerhouses Jakob will also be performing their game-changing third album Solace in full on Friday 3 June.

Since launching as a venue in 2013, The Tuning Fork has championed the local music industry, providing a platform for both local and international artists to showcase their talent.

Tickets to The Tuning Fork Birthday Series shows are available on Moshtix.
