The Tuning Fork Presents Fork n Funny

Fork n Funny returns in October with Jeremy Corbett, The Fan Brigade, David Correos, and MC Melanie Bracewell.
The funniest new series in Auckland. Bringing you the brightest stars in the local scene as we host four comedians for an intimate seated evening of stand up.  Comedy is here to stay at The Tuning Fork!

In a fully seated setting, The Tuning Fork will showcase the best of local comedy this October. Audiences will be able to order food and drinks directly to their table from their mobiles throughout the show – even if you’re in the front row, although you never know what the comedians will have to say about your order! In the intimate environment of The Tuning Fork everyone’s fair game for some banter.

The Tuning Fork will be paying careful attention to public health and safety advice on social gatherings and will be working to create a safe and comfortable environment for all attendees. Any restrictions on gathering sizes will be adhered to carefully, but as a seated show Fork n Funny will endeavour to run under Level 1 or Level 2 restrictions.

“The best comedy duo I have ever seen”Urzila Carlson

“Brilliantly bawdy, fabulously facetious, exceedingly entertaining” ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ – Appetite for the Arts, NZ

The Fan Brigade are New Zealand’s most exciting musical comedy duo. Not for the faint hearted and definitely NSFW, the Fan Brigade are engaging, highly entertaining, multi-award-winning, and most of all, devastatingly funny. They have recently featured on TVNZ’s 2019 comedy documentary Funny As, 7 Days, the Project, the New Zealand Comedy Gala, and that goddamn RSA video.

Winner of the 2016 Billy T Award, David Correos is quickly becoming a powerhouse of New Zealand comedy. He has a uniquely powerful, boundary pushing style which has made him an audience favourite whenever he performs. Already on our TV screens (7Days, AotearoHA, TVNZ’s Stand Up), we are expecting big things from David.

At just 24 years old, Melanie Bracewell is taking the comedy world by storm, performing at events including Rhythm and Vines, the Comedy Festival Gala filmed live for Three and in 2017 won the prestigious “Best Newcomer” award for her first solo show in the NZ International Comedy Festival. With goofy observations and natural stage charisma, Melanie is a master of anecdotes. In 2018, Melanie won the famed “Billy T Award” and went on to make guest appearances on the hit Aussie game show ‘Have you Been Paying Attention?’
