Kiwi filmmaker Florian Habicht’s new film, James & Isey opens in New Zealand cinemas on May 6th. Florian stopped by The 13th Floor Studio to tell us all about it.
The 13th Floor’s Marty Duda was fortunate enough to be invited to attend the world premiere of Florian Habicht’s new film, James & Isey, a documentary shot by Florian leading up to Isey’s 100th birthday.
After seeing the film at the premiere, Marty persuaded Florian to come over to the 13th Floor Studio and talk about how he made this uniquely beautiful film. Florian was more than happy to oblige, bringing a his special Russian camera lens with him, and ready to tell plenty of stories about shooting and editing this film on his own… although he claims there was some spiritual intervention.
