Watch Patti Smith Read From Howl
On Wednesday, October 7th, Patti Smith appeared at the Barnes & Noble book store in Manhattan to read from and sign copies of her new memoir, M Train. She wrapped up her hour-long time there with a surprise reading from Allen Ginsberg’s Howl, which had been published 60 years ago to the day. The 13th Floor’s Marty Duda was there and recorded this video clip.[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvpeYN7oMr4]

Patti Smith actually read from the Ginsberg poem ‘Footnote to Howl’, not from ‘Howl’.
