R.I.P. Fats Domino
We lost one of the greats…Rock & Roll pioneer Fats Domino has died at the age of 89
Domino, along with his producer/co-writer/bandleader Dave Bartholomew, started making records in New Orleans in 1949.
A list of Fat Domino’s hits includes Blueberry Hill, Ain’t That A Shame, I’m Walkin’, Blue Monday and Walking To New Orleans, to name just a few.
The 13th Floor’s Marty Duda spoke to Fats Domino in 2002 about his hitmaking days on Imperial Records in the 1950s. You can listen to the interview here:
