The Bevis Frond Find Their Little Eden: Interview
The Bevis Frond may very well be the ultimate cult band. Formed in the mid-1980s, they’ve never had anything close to a hit record, yet 40 years and 22 albums later they are still at it.
The 13th Floor’s Marty Duda spoke to The Bevis Frond frontman Nick Saloman who is laying low in his home in England. As it turns out, being in lockdown has stimulated Nick’s creative juices, so much so that he has (almost) single-handedly written and recorded a double album consisting of 20 new songs. It’s called Little Eden.
With so much time off the road, Saloman has had time to ponder a manner of subjects…aging (he’s 68), Brexit (not good for the working musician) and the band’s legacy. So, here we go!
