The Chills Announce 4-Date North Island Tour

Thursday November 12 – Dunedin’s most iconic pop group The Chills are awakening from their slumber to traverse a select few spots this summer, helping revellers dance their way through the post-Christmas haze.
The tour includes ticketed shows at The Yot Club in Raglan on December 28 (where they’ll be joined by very special guest Reb Fountain and band), and Leigh Sawmill on December 30 (with Pōneke rising stars Kita). In addition to this, the band will make two festival appearances – heading for New Plymouth’s Festival of Lights on December 27, before moving across the island to headline Coromandel’s well-loved Eggfest on December 29.

The Chills have been busy in 2020, hunkering down and bringing to life their latest creation. The album – which will follow up 2018’s critically lauded Snow Bound – is set to be released in 2021. Whether or not concertgoers get a sneak preview of said songs? You’ll have to wait and see…

New Zealanders know better than most just how crucial and beloved this band really is. Their songs, their presence and their legacy are what make The Chills a band you don’t want to miss seeing this summer.

Tickets for The Chills’ December shows can be purchased from 9am, Friday November 13, via Banished Music.
