Here’s Auckland-based musician Maala discussing his new album, Water Overhead, and his participation in the upcoming Elemental Nights series in Auckland.
The 13th Floor’s Marty Duda spoke with Maala (aka Evan Sinton) about his new album and the Elemental Nights shows happening in October that also feature Amanda Palmer, King Sweeties (Bic Runga & Cass Basil), Opossum, Leisure, Daffodils, Troy Kingi and Avantdale Bowling Club.
The conversation begins with talk about the recent Installation that was held to present the new album, where a large sphere was hanging over a pool of water… very atmospheric and in perfect keeping the the mood of the music.
